One of my biggest mistakes was not carefully reading through what I read and wrote. A lot of the times I would make up what I thought the author was saying and then just go for it. I would end up writing it down, but not going back to make sure it made sense. This image displayed shows that I did not make sense of what the author was saying. Scheuer was just speaking for others and what they may have said. I now realize that I need to read more carefully and read through my papers more often. This helped me a lot with my third paper because I was more careful, while still taking the risks that I wanted to take.
